Long long ago on a moonlaiden night, five powerful witches gathered to swap spells and cast magic. Though their powers and knowledge combined could not spare the five from the inevitable fate of death, their hats, imbued with their wisdom and spirit, sought out to gather five equally curious beings to bring them together and teach them the arts passed down onto them by their mistresses.

Though traditions state that only "women" should practice the art, there's nothing to say you had to be *born* one to apply.
