I have never been 100% sure of my eye color. I was always told by my parents my eyes are blue. Friends and acquaintances have told me they are green or gray. Some even told me they changed colors (which I could never really believe even though that sounds awesome). But I had an idea recently. What if I take a bunch of pictures of myself from my camera roll and open them in sai, then color pic my eyes to see the color better with no surrounding colors and in different lighting settings? So I found the answer. My eyes are taupe! This is a little revelation for me and so cool to have an answer after all these years! I used many different photos and picked through the brightest, darkest, and mid-shade within each eye of each photo. They are all variations of taupe with reflections from the sky appearing bluer, grass appearing greener, and shady or dark spots appearing grayer. It makes sense now. I love my eye color and feel it is unique. I'm proud and just had to draw my fursona with updated eye colors! This is awesome!
