Was bored and decided to reread this chapter. Good chapter but I do have one complaint and that is why did you have to roast us like that. We aren't pencil necked tech geeks who jerk off to tech stuff (OK that might be kind of true but that's not the point). Here in the valley, we may focus on technology and are very nerdy but we do create most of the innovations that help the world. However, our main problem here is that us being the tech hub that we are, our environment is devastated and disgusting especially in San Francisco. Being a tech hub is good and bad environmentally. Good because we designed ways to help protect and restore the environment but bad because we ourselves don't sustain the environment around us. Like I dont even swim in beaches at SF cause the water is nasty. SF is honestly gross in most of the city. San Jose, however, is a lot more aware of the environmental problems and we are trying to help as much as possible and in my opinion we are doing pretty good for how big our city is. But like you said, a lot of people don't care which makes it so fucking hard to fix the problem. Like the climate so fucked up it was fucking 100 and we had a random thunderstorm. But I'll stop this cause I got off topic. Don't roast us though cause if you do we won't be there when you need us to create a planet saving device. All jokes aside it was a good chapter.

I find it really heard to sympathies with Kim in this chapter.my main reason is how she handled the punk that tried to shot her. Yes she had a right to defend herself but she did not have any right to take a life even accidentally. She also had a clear option to simple subdue the shooter. She could have landed near him and used her prehensile tail to pin him in place thus preventing him from shooting. And Kim really needs to be thinking about this if she wants her PR campaign to succeed. every single move she makes is being judged by humanity right now. She can not give those arrayed against her any ammunition that could prove to the world that the dragons are a menace and must be purged. Even that shooter getting a single scratch will generate a great deal of fodder for the opposition to use against her.

And even if she was forced to kill? She needs to show sympathy, having her basically say fuck you to taking a life then arguing with a cop about this does not generate the right messege. Hell, even her confession to the cop about what happen to her unborn child could be used against her later by the opposition as being a sob story cooked up to generate synpathy rather being true and is just further proof of why the dragons and there alien masters need to be exterminated.

Frankly if this is what's been happening with Kim's PR campaign then it is backfiring spectacularly.

I think it sums up the fucked up mess that is Kim; a female spec-ops soldier that's gone through two wars with anger issues with a fury at the world around her due to her transformation and the responsibilities forced upon her. I think by design she is supposed to look like the wrong person for the job, and yet Thumper somehow sees all this as a win.
