Wow, Nyarai really hit her hard at full speed, causing her head to go back. The collision is very epic and explosive. The elegant trail of anime fire effects really fits the impact and the style of Nyarai's moves.

Yes daigajin art here is really top notch, i could totally see this as giant poster . The dynamism of this is very cool.

He has gotten very great with the action scenes in this comic and especially during these wrestling match chapters.

Poor Adel though. She broke up with a friend and partner, she then crushed three of said friend's limbs, her reputation as a combagal face is ruined, and she is being beaten badly. At least still the good she is doing is showing Muko how to handle pain and losing.

Ha! I wouldn't go too far with the whole "showing Muko how to handle pain and losing" bit there, friend. Almost acting like she might be a different person after all this mess but I complete get what you getting at here. Older more wiser person teaches/gives one last piece of knowledge to younger or less wiser/dumber person before their inevitable K.O. in the hands of who or whatever older person was dealing with that sets the stage for younger person's growth to being the best that no one ever was (and maybe get revenge for what happening to older person). It reminds me of how Whitebeard was in One Piece on the Marineford Arc (also known as the Paramount War).


...Although in One Piece Whirebeard's defeat/death was more sad yet uplifting, dignified, left an lasting impact on you seeing it. This however was... mmmmhhhhhh.... I'm going to be nice here a say it wasn't very good and can pull you out of "THE FEELS". Funny though.

KO, or pivot with the blow? Eyes are blunked out but the sfx of the blow is the only sfx, no additional snap, crackle or crunch. Still if it's not actually a KO, it could be being played up to further sell Nyarai as a heel. I still get the feeling Adel doesn't sell chairs.

Talk about a finishing blow. Nyarai stored all the energy of Leg Jet Burst and then released it into an explosive burst to propel herself foot first to the opponent and strike decisively. On the previous page, I thought it was gonna be a simple jumping roundhouse kick with all that energy stored, but this page really surprised me. The damaged to Adelgund's face scared me as, unlike the hippo who only had a temporary face change, Nyarai looks like she dislocated her jaw and knocked her out. Speaking of faces, Nyarai looks like a demon as she relishes on the chance of finally kicking an enemy at full strength. Looking forward to the next chapter.

You know, you may be right! Looking more closely at the page again after reading your post, yes it does look like the force of Nayrai's kick did some damage to Adel's face in a scary way. The lower jaw appears to be dislocated out of line with the upper half! Also there is a great chance that Adel's neck may have hurt just as drastically as well.

I'm not sure about Adelgund's neck, given how we are only shown her jaws. That being said, the white eyes leave me worried as they are indicators of unconsciousness or death. We can't find out about Adel's condition until the next chapter, which makes this cliffhanger all the more scarier. That being said, what did you think of the explosive kick?

I too am scared for how this could effect Adel. It's possible that she could either be paralyzed, or as you said, lose consciousness (or go into a coma), or even die. Whatever result Nyarai's finish-off super kick has on her is going to be terrible and perhaps permanent.

In my opinion this has to the most dangerous thing Nyarai do to another living character yet. The way she kicked Adel appears very forceful and devastating, and more serious, I fear. It's more powerful than what she gave that groping hippo back at Shun's mobster club. As I wrote earlier in my own reaction comment earlier Nyarai really hit her hard at full speed. The collision is very epic and seemed very explosive.

Was the incentive met to continue the comic?

If I don´t lose my drive I´ll continue the comic until 2022 no matter how high the amount of pledges is and see where to go from there.

I must say Mr. DaiGaijin (and I hope I'm not coming off as an asshole here in saying this). I may not like how these chapters gone about feeling drawn out and left me uninterested in want this was going overall (the pacing really is the problem here and how it went about it) but the last half of this arc from pages 382 to here had to be my favorite part of this whole ordeal. I actually found myself having fun read these and was interest to see how it will turn out (even though I already knew where it was going). It almost made sitting through this arc worth it. Almost.

Really? *sigh* Never could figure out how to fully give out criticism/opinion without coming off that. -_- What I mean is that despite the grips I have with this arc as a whole I found myself enjoying reading this in the end. That for the most part it was worth the read to see where this arc would go. And would love to see this in the upcoming future. (If you are able to of course.)

So my theory is that Adelgund is pretty much dead due a broken neck or ends up paralyzed from the neck below.

Oddly enough even if Adel's career is over. She gave the newbie good advice, went easy on her to boost her confidence, spared her a vicious beatdown, and might even spark a desire to fight as the new up and comer .
