Remember how Amy Rose is seen carrying a hammer? I hypothesize that Amy is reading many Warner Brothers Stories and this includes the Bugs Bunny Comics. After she is done with these tales, Sonic's most obvious fan-girl gets the idea of wielding a mallet in case those that she didn't like can threaten her or if her friends are in danger. She chuckles at these things since she finds them amusing. This shows that comedy sells. Where else do you think that Amy would get the idea of carrying a hammer from besides the comics or cartoons?
