I can't blame Riley at all ; his dad's feet smell are probably delicious and addictive X3 I would love to sniff them too

They sure do smell addictive. Riley just can't get enough of them. You might wanna be careful if you're gonna get a sniff of them too or Brent's gonna catch the both of you. Hmmm... Brent's feet are close to Riley's face. Maybe a kick would be in order, though it'll probably benefit Riley since a warm smelly imprint would be on his face. XD

I imagine this is far from the first time that Brent has caught Riley in this sort of situation, given he looked annoyed but not entirely surprised. I suppose the first time or two Riley might have given what he thought was a semi-plausible explanation but now he's just chill with it, if he's going to get shouted at he'll get shouted at but it probably won't stop him from having a sniff again some time.
