Oh... wow. I had heard of the exhibits of the Smithsonian (in fact, I read about them last night again in accordance to that weird surge of giant squid invading California!), but I had no idea that it was this impressive!

Admittedly, though... he does look a bit like Simba roaring from the top of his mountain =~.^=

I can so imagine that! Well, and I know some of the specimens they have at the Smithsonian are real, like for instance that one 19 or so foot long giant squid, but I think that some of the specimens they have may be not real (it would not be doing the Smithsonian justice to call it 'fake' =~.^=)

Well, no strain except maybe for the cost of fuel or transportation in any way... but yes! I would definitely do that! We have awesome museums here as well, but none as impressive as this! Or as free, come to think of it... sometimes you get free admission, but that's only with special events.

Ooooh, I LOVE the Smithsonian. I grew up in Waldorf, only about 90 minutes out of DC, so we used to go there on weekends fairly regularly...plus, apparently I was crazy well behaved in museums. ^^ It's still one of my favorite places to go. Need to take Sontock there one day still, though.
