Ya know, I always thought it was "hip, hip, hip and away I go", but on wikipedia it's "pip", not "hip" ;p

I use to never miss that show, even then bad tv was my thing...

If you have Underdog talk, you need to keep the rhyme. I even liked that the movie worked it in ^.^

Yay for Underdog! I loved watching the reruns growing up, and rather enjoyed the movie, as it did seem to try to follow the mythos despite it not taking place in an anthro world.

I tend to agree about the movie, but I like the fact that it was a world where the cartoon could have been created in ^.^

I hadn't thought that angle, but yeah. I could see the old TV show being a cartoon in the movieverse inspired by the 'real' Underdog.

They pretty much implied it int the movie, or at least that's how I took it ^.^

Kinda reminds me of what Real Ghostbusters did, where they had an episode about Hollywood making a movie about the Gozer Case.

Take Two, IIRC. The Ghostbusters fly to hollywood to help with the movie; and end up stumbling across this monster that's been sleeping on the studio lot for a long time, and hates loud noises. They capture it, as their is not place quiter then their containment unit, allowing for the movie to finish filming. In the end they attend the grand opening of the moive, complete with actual movie footage; and Peter complains how Bill Murry looks nothing like him.

Its also got one of my favorite gags in the series.

*Guy runs screaming leaving his car door open*
"The door is a jar."

"SHUT UP!" *Monster smashes car*

No, it's pretty much the way I said in my comments, an Underdog Super Energy Pill...And no, that's not a euphamism.

The only character I know of who DID get their powers that way was Hurricane from Penthouse Comix.
