Meet Chance, a new OC of mine 🎲

Some info:
Chance is a self-proclaimed vigilante that roams the city of Grand Metropolis (yup), occasionally seen outside of it. Very little is known about him outside of the fact that it's a guy in a weird costume.
He seems to think of himself as the hero, as he does fight off local crimes and takes great interest in dealing with Eggman's robots, presumably taking their parts to improve his own gear. However, everything isn't as great as it might seem.
Chance's methods are highly questionable as he has his own twisted vision of justice. He deals with his opponents, decides what action or even what kind of approach to take in general according to a random dice roll. Chance, living up to his name, prefers to leave almost everything up to chance... thus, his actions are completely random, even if they are more or less "in the name of good". He captures the criminals, or, perhaps, people he deems to be ones, and traps them in an undisclosed location, making sure they're properly restrained an are unable to get free on their own. There, he gives them a chance to escape, leaving them locked up with some sort of a puzzle to solve. If the prisoner succeeds, they might will end up free, but if they fail... chances are, nobody will ever see them again.
He evades confronting the local authorities and doesn't seem to be too fond of the heroes like Sonic... and he probably has his reasons for that

His helmet is the dice he rolls when deciding what action to take. It has a total of 100 sides. The roll itself is represented by various numbers flickering on the said helmet, until the final result is shown on one of the sides. The suit overall is a mix of hightech equipment and normal clothing, the latter used mostly to hide the wearer's identity. The metal gloves he wears not only help him in combat, but also hide all sorts of weapons in the fingers, starting from knockout gas and ending with lasers. Chance is also equipped with a grappling hook, hidden under the sleeve of his coat, which makes travelling around the city at night much easier.



The guy has been in works since the January of 2017... or even earlier, really... in any case, it's quite an insane time period to get a ref out.
Although can you blame me? This is probably the most detailed and stupidly complex character I've ever designed... and I have a lot of designs lying around, ok. For now his proper identity remains a secret, so don't expect to see him without that helmet anytime soon.

The idea appeared in my head once I thought that it'd be really cool to see some masked "superhero" in Sonic's world. Idea grew, got some stuff thrown onto it and the final result turned into Chance. I thought I was being super original with this... so you can imagine how far my jaw dropped when SEGA revealed Infinite, who wears a helmet... a one-eyed helmet even. Yeah, that sucks, but at least I took my time to iron the design out.
