The kind of sleep I wish I got last night.

Did you know? Sometimes elderly humans become aggressive and violent due to dementia and hallucinations as the mind starts to wear down. Often, it is their caretakers and family members that get the worst of this, since when they are around is usually the situation where they feel safe enough to vent their frustrations and fears, compared to concerns that a stranger might not take them seriously or would not hesistate to hurt them in response. There is no early warning for this, and no countdown timers are warning labels or anything. Just one day, it starts to happen. And it keeps happening.

By the same token, any kind of family secrets, buried treasure, hidden information, family accounts, records, unmade ammends, broken friendships, minor arguments, safe combinations, passwords, written wills, etc is going to be a lot harder for them to share.

Don't try to wait until the 'last minute' to say "sorry" or to make a Afterwards plan. One day too late and it's all moot, and unrecoverable. Life doesn't run on dramatic narrative structure.

Between this post and the last post, I wrote about 400 words tonight. 1.7k daily words may be a bit out of my league.
