(You're correct. In the 1949-1964 era, the Coyote never directly caught the Roadrunner. In one of the new shorts produced in 1979-1980, a very tiny Coyote caught a gigantic Roadrunner, with the "now what" type sign. In addition, "The Solid Tin Coyote," one of the ones produced in the mid-1960s, had the gigantic robot coyote catch the Roadrunner, but eat the Coyote instead.)
