And a lion could rip and tear a human without much efforts, yet humans are the apex predator on Earth. Humans are very good when it comes to killing stuff, especially if they are motivated to do so. Also keep in mind that humanity is a specie that has suckle the bloody teat of War pretty much since the first ape walked on two legs. Humans may also have shorter gestation periods and probably grow and up mature more quickly than the drakes. If it can bleed, humans will find a way to kill it. And no honourable combat bullshit. We have long ago shed that notion as foolish and useless, if there is a war between the humans and drakes, my mone is on the humans BECAUSE they'll get creative at finding ways to overcome their natural weaknesses compared to the drakes. Conflicts is the mother of inventions, and we humans are very good at conflicts.

Hi,
I’m the creator of the species in this artwork, and I, as the creator, am telling you you’re wrong.
A drake could never lose to a weak fleshbag human. We would be a joke to them. Not good for labor, unsuited for sex, not intelligent, they’d simply ignore us as we aren’t worth their time lol. We can’t even withstand a little radiation, they’re basically born from it. Your reasoning is fueled by human ego, hence why it’s so wrong. Drakes travel the stars, we can’t even make it off our own gravity well. There is zero comparison. It’s funny how strongly you feel about an image that has no effect on you.

And how much radiations can your Drakes, a fictional power-fantasy, withstand considering they seem to be a very power-fantasy race? And while yes, today we wouldn't be able to stand against them, I was talking within the confine of the picture, which seems to portray sci-fi humans base on the armours and helmets, which aren't of any use in today's warfare.
And sure, a Drake can beat a human in hand-to-hand combat, but how often do we see that come to play in warfare when rapid-fire high-power guns are involved? Yeah your Drakes might have thick scales but since they seem to be of human size (roughly) then it means that it wouldn't be as thick as you are making them out to be, so even the power output modern bullets can transfer in a limited contact point would more than likely enough to punch through it. And again, I'm comparing to modern guns rather than sci-fi firearms which would have access to more powerful propellants, better ballistic property for the projectiles and probably will have said projectiles be made of something harder than lead since everyone seems to have some combat armour. We already know since WW1 that steel core bullets with sufficient velocity will punch through a few inches of armoured steel, meaning that in realistic range combat the field is even.
And I care about it because I love humanity but also because it is a fun intellectual exercise.

I wasn’t aware humans were ten feet tall. Your argument in itself is hysterically bad. Imagine in your small human brain, a race living IN SPACE. Now imagine how advanced they’d need to be to exist and survive IN SPACE. modern bullets are pointless against what is basically a dinosaur. Your fallible argument weighs on imaginary human power fantasies.
Real world earth reptiles can sustain massive amounts of radiation and still reproduce and not die of cancer. This has been proven tens of thousands of times over due to the nuclear tests around the globe.
HUMANS cannot. Drakes are reptiles. They are no more a “power-fantasy” race than humans are. I’ve spejt majority of my life dedicated to actual biology, blood types, weaponry, culture and far, far more than you cannconcieve in creating them. The pathetic average human is less than 6 feet tall. You now have a creature double in height and triple or quadruple in weight to face. A creature immune to all of our primitive technology. All their weapons including those drawn in this painting are using a radioactive isotope. One touch of Amanathine to human flesh and we liquify, just like if a human touched raw uranium. It’s not inconceivable in the least that they would laugh at us and we wouldn’t even equate to a bad stomach ache to them. While millions of humans may throw themselves at drakes and maybe through sheer stupidity, kill a few, it only takes a dozen drakes to wipe out thousands of humans. And that’s without their power armor, without weaponry, without the massive technological disparity. If you put 1 thousand naked humans in a pit with ten naked drakes I can assure you, the lizards would easily win. When was the last time a human lifted a 2 ton car and threw it? Never mind in earths gravity they would be nearly weightless and be at peak performance speed wise. Their world having 6x earths gravity. There is literally no contest. Like I said before. We can’t even escape our own gravity well. They LIVE and exist in space. They colonize on inhospitable worlds because they have the technology and resilience to do so.
I feel like it’s just time to stop talking now xD

For the record, they weren't intended to be humans specifically. I let the artist design the bodies however he wanted.
One thing that was intended, is that my drake is not wearing his helmet. Not only because I wanted to see his head drawn, but also because he doesn't even need it here: those soldiers were trivial for him.
It's funny that we think that we, as humans, are special in the universe and will just outsmart other aliens we find... as if they wouldn't be capable of doing the exact same thing to us.

But the difference is that Elites are interesting, with their badassery explained by their warrior culture. But while an Elite would shred in melee a Marine squad, the fault lies with the Marines allowing the Elite to reach melee in the first place. Everywhere in Halo lore you can find examples of the Elites being the ones more on the receiving ends of the stick than the ones wielding it. Did that made them uninteresting or unworthy of respect? No, you'll find so many examples of humans in Halo just admitting admiring the martial pride of the Elites, and the Elites themselves holding a grudging respect for the military prowess and professionalism of human soldiers. This is why the two races actually got along so well even after the common threat was passed.
Now replace the Elites with those Drakes, and I guess we can extract their mentality from that of their creator, and you don't really have a race that seems interesting. They seem flawless. Their only fault in my inferior human opinion is that they seem to have a bit of a Nazi-esque worldview, with everyone being seen as inferior to them. But again, I'm just extrapolating that information from what their creator reacted when offered the occasion to talk about them in a debate-style conversation.

This one is coming together really nicely.
Can't quite tell what's going on with the standing furry character's legs, not sure if he was striding forward and then turned back to look at something, resulting in the somewhat awkward footing and pelvis-turn.
The amount of fading you put in front of his left leg striding ahead makes it feel as if it were considerably further forward than would make sense; if the fog/smoke/particulate was that thick that a foot or two of difference would be visible, there's no way we'd be able to see all the way down the corridor. I would recommend lessening that foggy fading effect there for that leg.
But all in all this comes together pretty great.
