Well, if you want to get technical about it...Wolves also don't have valves and puffy hips ;) We're just trying to make a cute character here. I mean, there are lots of wolves in the Furry fandom that are green furred, etc. It's all about making something that looks good, ya know?

Every mammal, humans included, is born with blue eyes, whether they're born with their eyes open or when they open later on. =3 Any other colour but blue is actually a mutation, proven by scientists...but it's so common nobody gives it thought. It's a natural mutation.
So yeah, every dog, wolf, cat, bear, squirrel, deer, giraffe...if they have an eye color, they're all born with blue eyes until they change to their adult colour.
