You guys realize that them not having the national dex right off the bat doesn’t mean they’re getting rid of those Pokémon, right? Like, they didn’t have the national dex when gen III first came out.

Yeah, they can’t be transferred to Galar. Doesn’t mean they won’t be available to do that in the second game for the generation. Remember how in Sun and Moon they didn’t have move tutors and you had to wait till USUM? This is the same deal. Just a way to shake the metagame up for a while. They aren’t erasing Pokémon from existence.

No. I don't think so either. I personally think it's about space. You see if you have to get all those pokemon in the games, you are gonna lack on space at 1 moment.
So I made a choise for myself. In USUM I got a very steady 6 IV breeding base. I try to 'infect' all my egggroups with at least 1 6 IV pokemon. And from there I'm gonna put together my team to defeat the battle tree super edition and the battle royal.
You see, I got a Mightyena from Emerald that, since then, have fight in every leauge. I didn't do the battle tower things before because I never could figure out how to. But since last summer I finnaly could figure out how to do that stuff.
So as long as I'm still able to transfer pokemon to Pokemon Home I won't
