In Greek mythology, cyclops are giant anthropophage monsters with only one eye in the middle of their face. The legends talk about 2 cyclop generations. The first were 3 brothers, Brontes, Steropes and Arges born from Uranus and Gaia who were locked for their ugliness and their strength in Tartarus by the other titans, and were freed by Zeus. Grateful, they were the one who forged his lightning until Apollo killed them to avenge the death of his son Asclepios killed by being struck ; they were then replaced by Hephaistus. The second generation came from Poseidon and Thoosa, and live as shepherds on an island in Sicilia ; one of them, Polyphemos, catch Odysseus and his crew to eat them but finds himself fooles and his eye burst by the one he believes to be names "Nobody". When his brothers arrive and ask him who did that, he answers it's Nobody. They believe he has gone crazy and look for no one
