Unable to wield the magic inside of him, Melvin turned to incantations and crafting which enable him to use the magic that resides within in a different way. Not a violent, flashy way like magicians and wizards can but a more subtle way such as creating potions and special crystals imbued with magic of their own. Years of study and practice led to Melvin's proficiency in making high grade potions, concoctions, salves and magical artifacts that holds their own spells, though usually limited to one and has their own severe restrictions.
