Moonchild, or mahina as the Hawaiian explorer called him, was discovered on a far flung planet in a seemingly remote system. Though not totally concerned with the concept of names, He choose to be called Luny after the closest translation of Luny often occupies his days gazing off into the stars and cataloging the natural wonders around him. His innate function of carrying for an ancient alien temple occupies only a fraction of a given thirty-seven hour day on his planet. Imagine his surprise when a Terran ship crash lands nearby and it's pilots survive.
