It's sad that despite this kind of love being every bit as meaningful as any other because it's an incestuous consensual relationship it's always going to get a big 'ew' from society.

It's the way our biology protects us from the inbreeding depression of the species.

It's only bad when it's multigenerational. As in four or five generations. If it's just a generation or two it's not that big a deal. A brother/sister pregnancy carries the same risk of genetic issues as someone who's 40 having a kid which these days isn't really an issue (at least if you live where there's access to modern health care). Not saying people should go out and practice it all the time but societies attitude towards it needs to be a lot less hostile.

I was reading an article the other day where a brother and sister-both mature adults-were imprisoned for incest. The comments were filled with people not only being disgusted but saying things like they should be in jail for life or killed or assuming they're pedophiles.

It's really kind of stupid people are still like this.

I almost missed this scene and went on a mini-rant when the parents came back.
