Yeah when I was searching for reference images for how exactly he was drawn in the comic, I was getting confused thinking there was some sort of redesign or reboot. Then found the history that both the US & UK Dennis the Menace were made independent of each other and debuted the exact same day!
BTW, at least in terms of what I could google, I only found one pic of US comic strip Dennis firing his slingshot and it was from behind. The posing I used was from one where he was spraying a water hose over the fence onto an unknowing Margret (she is holding an umbrella thinking it’s rain)
