the sad truth is that they scientifically have proven that it is more detrimental to the environment to build a hydrogen powered vehicle than the entire lifetime of the same gas powered vehicle. just a heads up on our failure to create things XD

Well, it is for now, because currently the main source of pure hydrogen gas is from natural gas. It is possible to extract it directly from water- the main thing keeping that method from being used on a large scale is the cost. But we're running out of petroleum, and it will soon become far cheaper to extract hydrogen from water, and in any case, I personally would rather see a bunch of petroleum used up to source hydrogen for transportation than even more of that petroleum being used faster, less efficiently, and in greater quantities to power "conventional" vehicles.

it actually has nothing to do with the gas, its about the other materials like the precious metals and such which have to go into the fuel cell for it to work. the hydrogen is the easiest element in the whole equation.

Well, running out of cheap, easily-accessible petroleum. I'm not talking oil shale here.

This bus needs more stainless steel, chrome, and streamlining.
