Woah there, chaps! Cool your britches before you decide to comment. I should tell you something very important.
You're wasting your time if you decide to start going into detail on that particular franchise.
You could literally count the Digimon that I know on one hand. I am not a fan in the slightest, so don't bother asking me any questions about my thoughts on it, my favourite Digimon, etc. You're just gonna get the text equivalent of a blank stare.
So why did I draw this? ...No idea... Can't just draw Pokemon all the time, I suppose.
I admit, it's weird that I have the most minimal of interest in Digimon. There's no denying that I'm a die-hard Pokemon fan and I'm certainly open to a good "Monster-training RPG" game. But there's a few things about Digimon that just put me off.
I watched the whole first series of the TV show waayyyy back in the 90's when I was around 9. But it got very, very repetitive much quicker than Pokemon did and I just dropped off when the second one started. So not a great first impression.
And I know I'm at risk of showing my ignorance here, but why are so many of the more powerful Digimon mechanical or human looking? It just gets very silly and nonsensical and it's the biggest barrier to me giving it a go.
Oh well, enough griping. In the mire of nonsense Digimon is, there are some designs I really like. Designs like Agumon, who'd make a perfectly good Pokemon, if it wasn't for the name.
In my pre-picture research I did for this Digimon, I found some early artwork for Agumon, and holy crap, he was a veiny bugger, wasn't he? Massive veins all over him. Was that supposed to be cute? It was kinda gross. They got rid of those pretty sharpish and he looks all the better for it.
I keep looking at Agumon and he reminds me of Totodile, it's probably the head shape.
I really like how this picture came out, I tried adding more lines to help define the shape of Agumon's anatomy, what do you guys think? Not really what I normally do, so I'm sure there're some mistakes.
