Now for the last Discworld book I read before October, Sourcery. If wizards ever have eight sons, the eighth would be a sourcerer: a mage that could possibly warp reality. We meet Coin (center), the first sourcerer in ages guided by his father's spirit in the scepter.
It's up to the reluctant Rincewind (top left) to keep the sourcerer from going too far. Accompanying him are Conina(bottom left) estranged daughter of Cohen the Barbarian, Nijel(bottom right) a hero in training, and Creosote(top right) the usually perpetually drunk sultan from Klatch.
Oh, and Death and the other three horsemen of the apocalypse have a surprisingly hilarious cameo at the end of the book.
