Yes, it turns out they are more then just a pair of feet. All though to many of the townsfolk that is all they see.
Its alot of effort to have to look straight up. Craning your neck in such a way.
That is why they have developed simple toe gestures to communicate with the towns folk.
Certain toe taps/wiggles meaning "hello/goodbye" "sorry" "thankyou" ect.
