This version of Alex grew up in Japan knowing she could change forms. Her father is a retired superhero who could change into a tiger. He retired after he got tranquilized by a villain and placed in a zoo The humiliation caused him to retire and start his own company. He manufactures equipment and provides supplies for heroes, military, and the police. His work supplying a US millitary base lead him to meet Alex's mother, as US Pilot with a danger sense quirk. Alex has inherited both quirks but she can only use one fully at a time. In human form she has danger sense, but in tiger form she does not. Her hybrid form is a new development. No one on her father's dies of the family was able to create a partial transformation until Alex. She has a reduced danger sense in hybrid form but gains greater strength, speed and senses, and retains her ability to talk, Alex's school was destroyed by a coordinated terrorist attack on several schools throughout the world. As a show of solidarity with the attacked school, untouched schools offered to take students in from these schools. UA being one of these schools created a international class bringing in heroes in training from all over the world.
