Hello folks, here is a simple recipe for chicken Caesar salad. This is my first time posting a recipe and im not really a cook :o
What you will need is:
1 skinless chicken breast
1/4 iceberg lettuce or a lettuce of your choice
A jar of anchovies
Cheddar or Parmesan cheese
Caesar Salad Dressing
Small handful of bacon
2 (Poached) Eggs
Chicken Salt
Salt
Pepper
Oil/butter of any sort
A slice of bread
Directions:
Firstly, wash your lettuce thoroughly and cut off 1/4 (serving for one person). Proceed to dice the lettuce in to reasonable size slices/strips.
Place the lettuce in a bowl.
Grab your chicken breast and butterfly cut it (slice in the middle horizontally) and lay it out flat. Gently sprinkle salt, chicken salt and pepper on each side of the chicken.
Heat up fry pan, spray or spread oil. Once hot, place the chicken breast on the fry pan and cook (flip every few minutes) until golden brown (approximately 10-20 mins). During cooking the chicken, dice and cut bacon into square pieces.
Once chicken is cooked, take out the chicken and place it on a plate, place bacon on the fry-pan and cook until crispy. While cooking bacon slice up the chicken into strips.
Now take out the bacon and place some butter and a slice of bread on the frypan. Cook until crispy and golden in colour. Once done, take out bread and slice into cubes/squares to use as croutons.
After this process is done, place 2 eggs in a microwavable cup in the microwave for 1 minute.
Begin to place lettuce evenly on a large plate, then spread a preferable amount of a Caesar salad dressing over the lettuce.
Place the chicken evenly, then the bacon, optional anchovies and croutons. Once that is done, place the poached egg in the centre and sprinkle the cheese of your choice on top evenly.
Now Enjoy!
