I was a little older than that, but I watched it with my kids. Fraggle Rock was another popular one, which I would watch even without them.

I don't think they aired it here, but I remember watching sesame street, that was called "apriti sesamo" (open sesame). Loved Hanson Muppets...

You will have to look for it on YouTube (if Disney hasn't pulled them all for the Disney+ Channel yet). Some typical Muppet humour, morality lessons and music in each episode.
