Woops, that title definitely outs me as British. Bugger! Well, I'll just carry on eating my Crumpet then.
Around 3 years ago, I started a small series of drawings where I restricted myself to two colours.
Simply put, I drew a Pokémon, but when I got to colouring, I was only allowed to use 2 colours. The idea being that I would use the various tools on Pokémon Art Academy to give the illusion of different colours.
For this picture, the colours I used were brown and beige. Naturally, this forced some liberties. After all, I was never gonna be able to pull off a convincing red on Chesnaught's nose and shell armour stripe. But what's not so obvious is that the beige is the wrong shade of beige, this allowed me to make Chesnaught's white tufts of hair look more white. Isn't visual trickery fun?
Has anyone played Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon? Well, you should, but Chesnaught was the Pokémon I used as the main character. I called him Arthur.
