Cats Practice -- Demeter
Now for a couple of character design practices I did, because while some cats came to me quickly when I drew them, others didn't quite feel right for a bit...and so my way to fix that is to focus on a particular character and draw them in different facial expressions until things click. Again, this is of course my own version. x3
First is Demeter, who's become my favorite ensemble cat, because she arguably has the most intrigue, a suggestion of a dark backstory involving the villain of the tale, as well as showing some tentative sympathy towards the tragic outcast, Grizabella. I do hope they give her more than just a passing mention in the upcoming movie. I'd have made her a secondary protagonist, at least.
