Here's an update of the amigurumi Chtulhu I'm working on for my friend's son. The pattern I found online had wings that were really complicated, and since my friend who normally helps me is asleep, I just fiddled around and make my own wing pattern. It was based off of something else, but done in reverse (the original one had the sew-in threads on the furthest part of the wing, instead of the part that would be sewn to the back. So I did it in reverse and voila! Wings.
I also made his body longer than in the original pattern and will be giving it long legs and long arms (very gangly). When I think of this being used, I want it to replace the traditional teddy bear but still have the ability to be carried/dragged around by one arm or a leg, so I'm making them disproportionately long.
