Wow, my first picture, cool. I used many reference sheets for inspiration. So this is my fictional character (I think its called "Original Character"). I used a pen and paper sheets for the lineart and added some color with MS Paint.

The Name: I found many characters with really "exotic" names, instead of , I dont know, normal ones.
After I saw that, I decided to do that too, to make it special. "Atani" is a composition of different languages of the world. 

The picture: "Atani" is a tiger ,ca.22-26 years old (on this picture) and is from? I dont know where he comes from yet.
The navy uniform is a mixture of the German Navy and Royal Navy. For the medal I choosed the "Iron Cross" from the year 1813, because it is one of the rare medals which is black and it looks really different and impressive.

 For the fact that its my first picture, I actually like it, but some things are looking weird.
I think his head is too big and something is wrong with his right eye.

Well,I keep practising in drawing faces, maybe I will change some things.
