Here we have an attempt to merge a lot of the little things I have learned in the past couple of months. Lighting, scene interaction and a few splashes of texture work all play into this particular image. It comes together nicely and is actually pretty stunning.
This is a very subtle image as well. Nothing is harsh or glaring, so there is very little in the way of eye distraction. I used mostly soft colors and smooth blends. It makes the picture really blend and adds a little more intensity to the light sources in the image.
The character in this image is another of my creation. Her name is Destiny and she is some form of cat (maybe we will call her a Kat) that lives under another sky. I have decided to name her as much as she has just stumbled upon something she has been fated to find. What that is… who knows.
She is being accompanied by two other worldly fireflies. They work their unique physiology to cast away the surrounding darkness.
I have had this image in my head since the beginning of the year so it is great to finally have the time to get this on paper. I hope you guys enjoy this one. It was seriously a long way coming.
