Well, @Bluey_The_Battlebug has called me out, so here's my trainersona. As with all my OCs, there are MANY versions of this character, but I'll give you the facts about the pokeverse native one. He's actually the son of another OC pair of my and Blue's collection.
The art is from the ever awesome RogueDoodles, who has done a LOT of human art for me, and through me for Blue as well, even a piece or two for Gryphus. I love their work so much!
This story's set in the lovely island nation of Hoenn. Bearer of the quite a few ruins, one of the best meteor sites, one of the world's prominent space programs, birthplace to the leader in technological development Devon Corp, second only to Aloha on the Most Beautiful Vacation Regions list, and top of both the Most Nudist Beaches of the League Bearing Regions, and the Best Beaches in the World list. Also has the title of Leagued Region with Too Much Water, but everyone knows that's from a bitter reviewer.
Violet Plum, and her then best friend turned boyfriend now spouse Gaylen Greene, have had their fair share of adventures. She learned under her father Professor Plum and his mentor and also the one he succeeds Professor Birch. They have faced off with powerful mon, challenged the Team Ozone who sought to prevail learning from the mistakes of Aqua and Magma, even proving their worth to the head scientist of the team, Violet's own mother.
They fought along side and against legends. Have become pokemon themselves, have travelled through time to meet Greene's father who sadly passed in the storms of Kyogre and Groudon's awakenings. Have saved many wild pokemon from poachers and trafficers. Have even rescued a few people from the dangers of the criminal minded. They did well to settling down for their happy ever after, Violet continuing her passions for pokemon and biology in the labs and reserves, and Greene taking a leading position in his family's restaurant.
But of course, you can't just leave that type of weirdness behind. Case in point: Grae. Their bouncing baby boy, who just happened to be born with a shinx's tail. Aside from, you know, how weird that already was, Violet's pokemon form was a samurott and Greene's a chesnaught. And neither could attain them without the assistance of a device Professor Plum (sr.) was doing some consulting on for another professor. (I'll get to that side of our expansive universe some when in the future). So yeah...
Grae's uniquenss didn't stop with just the tail though. He's got both his mom's enthusiasm for pokemon and his dad's leveled-ness. Just passively rather than exhibited. Ever curious, ever adventurous, more times than not he's out exploring the poke-reservations connected to the labs.
Hes a trainer through and through though, and not above battling himself if he needs to, actually having learned to pull off a few pokemon moves even in human form.
He's gone on his own journeys across his homeland of home, bare of feet (much like his mom to his dad's dismay) and eager in spirit. He's tackled gyms and contests alike, along side a varied team that had included most of the feline pokemon, and won the league before settling into the unique field of pokemon matching. He's got a lot of breeder and trainer friends, and is also part of a network of people looking for specific mon.
He's basically a daycare on the road, sourcing pokemon of specific types, trying his best to match personalities and dispositions of both mon and man. To him, pokemon are partners first, and how much they want to be with someone matters just as much. It's how he met his best mate and boyfriend Blue. The torchic Blue uses was originally sourced and raised a bit by Grae. It was a bit of a trade, since he got the mon who would become his trusted partner pokemon, a shinx he called Atty from the encounter.
Of course, he has had his own adventures. Nothing to the 'world ending' levels yet, but he's broken up a few illegal breeding and smuggling rings, and even moonlights as something of a super hero of sorts. He's had... other experiences of sorts too, since he partners with pokemon rather than directly capturing, having teams of pokemon who want to experience the battle circuit or contest trails. And in a few cases, just want to experience him, if you know what I mean. He's not ashamed of pokephillia, but pokemon have a different understanding of what 'Family' means, so he's not sure how to feel about the eggs.
