I've always heard a hinny has a donkey for a mother and a horse for a father. We had a male Hinny for awhile, who was like that. they are smaller than mules.

Yeah, that was pretty fucking rude of you, I must say. I honestly did not know, and had been told on several occasions that mules did not have genders nor could they reproduce, and that they were usually called female.
