I completely agree with you. I did this one per request of Rabbi Tom, who gave me the original picture, which does not offer much other ways of use.
And also, if it's for furry fandom, the professional look can be also a disadvantage. I often see that furries see my designs as too cold and boring.

Hmm - I'd say you did quite a perfect job on the other card. You mixed his sketch and your font art quite well. In my eyes it has the right mixture of both, playful furry art and professional appearance. I really like it (and will try to learn from the way you did the design :-D )
