What would a trip to the North Carolina Zoo be without seeing the beautiful red wolves. Here we see Flint, laying on the rock. Were I there by myself, I would have waited for a few hours for him to hop up so I could take a photo of him standing on the rock (like I've done in the past). :3

It's not so much of us being cruel (although, that is part of it due to over hunting earlier on). One of the biggest problems with these beautiful wolves is habitat loss. As out population grows, we have to move into area where these guys would usually roam. It's a difficult issue to solve because, as our population expands, so must our territory.
