As I say to my co-workers, enjoy the quiet moments. You never know when they will end.

Some of them think I am joking. At times like that, I just run a hand over my mostly white beard, and remind them that I am 39.

That's some heavy stuff to think about.

Back when I first hired on, a manager stated that I was in one of the top five most stressful work environments, two places below working at the post office. That is, if I take my job seriously. Always wondered if he was being serious, or just trying to get more out of use young upstarts.

As a cook, I tend to be on the serious side when it comes to making others food. And I tend to enjoy those quiet moments.
