the D'rakka is not native to Pandora, yet in a short time has adapted itself to the climate and environment of the planet. Taking on many aspects of the native wildlife including bio luminescent spots, two pairs of eyes, three pairs of limbs, and a pair of Neural whips. The species has adapted so completely to the planet that its like they've always been there.

It is unknown where they came from, as they appeared after humans began to explore the planet without any trace of their origin.

The Na'vi people have a healthy fear of the D'rakka. Being very adept hunters, they won't hesitate to kill and eat Na'vi. But they are omnivores, and some tribes have learned how to tame these beasts. They posses a higher intelligence than most animals and live side-by-side with the Na'vi almost as equals.
