And it's funny I should run across a pic with a tarantula in it - I've recently been studying spiders, err just for sport, really, and the most interesting I found was T. Blondi - the Goliath Bird-Eating Spider, that y'know, isn't naturally timid like most tarantulas - it'll take your hand off if you don't watch it. xD ((Which, it's not that hard to watch, having a leg span of up to 12 inches!))

Oh and I found something neat about the Brazilian Wandering Spider: For some unknown reason, the venom from its bite causes an intense priapism in humans and other mammals. What a way to die, huh? xD

hehe thats cool spiders are intresting and somewhat miss understood creatures x3 the T Blondi is a bitch, i have one and hes unbelievibaly huge! like a damn crab x3 hes not even adult yet and is already the size of a dinner plate, hes immature male and still needs to molt into his aldult skin with the the pedipalps and all that. iv heard many stories about wandering spiders, i think it would be pretty intresting to see one ^^

XD nah no tarantula is illegal x3 atleast not in the UK anyways. Goliath's arnt deadly, atleast not to us lol just bigass! x3 but its such a pain when u get flicked with hairs >< itches and burns like hell! i think id rather be bitten >< lol another spider that gets to a simalar size is the Salmon Pink tarantula, really pretty spiders! very much like the Goliath but black.

Ahhhhh you're in the UK, lol. That makes sense now; I think the Goliath is illegal in the US because we still have that embargo against Cuba, or some other South American country where they come from....lol. Those hairs sound horrible...xD *looks up the Salmon Pink* Ohhh those are really pretty! =3.

Btw, I highly recommend the book "Say Goodbye" by Lisa Gardener - you'll really, really like it. =3. It's about this serial killer who calls himself "Dinchara" ((arachnid)), and has a strong affinity for spiders! I think you'd like it =3.

And just because there's an embargo doesn't stop people from importing them to a place like the Dominican Republic first and THEN shipping them to America XP. Same thing happens with tobacco, cigars, alchohol, etc.

my dad had a pet huntsman the size of a dinner plate @_@ im sooooo glad i wasn't alive when it was around haha it jumped on my dads gf at the time xD it would have been funny to see glad it wasnt me......sadly yes we get huge spiders here most of em dangerous so i have heard i dont stay in a room long enough to find out xD i see a spider and im gone like a flash hahaha
