A little kobold who had a rough start trying to be a hero, only meeting everybody telling her she can't be a hero due to being a kobold, whoever thought that is having a laugh! Though who says a kobold can't be a hero! I've seen how agile they can be, sometimes faster and quicker than well experienced rogues.
So this ruby scaled kobold who in fact is called ruby came to my lair in the hopes of gaining popularity and riches, prooving all those nay sayers wrong. Naturally I was defensive at first but after seeing she was nervous and scared I warmed up to her, giving her some of my hoard to help her out, she left and I thought that be the last I'd hear from her. But no, time and time again she kept returning, bringing any food she could, I would only smile at her and give her a place between my body and tail, letting her rest in the warmth of my lair.
I decided I'd dig her out a room, the limestone being easy to carve out, after carving out a well sized room, I decorated it with creature comforts, a bed of sorts, pillows and blankets, a chest for storage and a curtain over the 'doorframe' so she could get privacy. I waited patiently for her next visit and upon her return presented the spot to her, since from what she'd told me she never had a place to call home. She looked shocked as I pointed over to her new room, and became overwhelmed, tears welling up in her eyes, unable to thank me enough for this, I only smiled warmly, nuzzling her softly, speaking with a soft welcoming tone, explaining how this is her safe haven for whenever she needed it.
