Sweet Shoppe Floor Plan - Ground Floor
*rubs head* Well, I spent a lot of time figuring this out. And, finally, I think this plan will work out. THIS is the working floor plan for Sweetheart's Sweet Shoppe. I think I've remembered everything necessary to run a restaurant. I have a little experience as my parents had a bakery and I used to work in a coffee shoppe.
OH! The top floor and basement aren't displayed here. I know how they'll look, though. Truthfully, I may not need to lay the basement out since it's just used for storage, but the upper floor is where patrons can rest as well as eat. So, I guess I will need to plan that one out.

You know, I thought there were a lot of chairs, too! I was thinking about removing some from the middle. Not all, just some of them. *chuckles* I'm so used to the stores here in the city where there's seating EVERYWHERE! But, I'm inclined to agree with you about the seating.
As for the walls, the left and bottom walls are near floor length glass, but the areas on the right and at the back are just walls. There's a tailor store directly adjacent to the shoppe, so it's just a wall separating the two. Those tables on the right are booths. They wrap around the rectangular tables.

Oh, I know about the booths you have just looking- your drawings are very nice and clear. When I said 'storefront', I go off of the wall with the entry- ie- the front of the store. Sweet Shopped usually aren't as packed as some places would be, so your estimate might be right about needing less- remember, 30 inches minimum clearance between 'in use' chairs for the safety codes! I really hope you can get your shoppe running- maybe one of these years you could have customers coming in from FurAffinity even :P
Apart from a back door for deliveries I don't think you forgot anything. However, having worked in kitchens I would recommend changing the server doors. For yes you have the exit one, but it can't serve as an entrance as well and the next one over would interfere with the register functions if you wold go through it as a re-entry point. So I would take the middle door and move it over to where the left one is, removing the L at the left end for that new space and combine the back counter.
Ahhh...I see what you mean!! Well, would that be so for a bakery, too? With them, the baking is done mostly in the morning and then set in the pastry case. They can make things like soups and such and little sandwiches...hmm...I guess that door will be more in use than I realized But, the majority of things will come from the pastry and ice cream cases. They'll have to go to the kitchen to take dishes...oh...you're right! *smacks forehead* Okay, you're correct, the kitchen doors will be in use more than I realized.
Near the Downstairz Part u Should make an Emergency Exit there, Cause despite it Bein Fantasy all storez Gotta have an Emergency Exit, most Even got a Fire Extinguisher next 2 the Door....
I'd imagine The Phone Booth would Look interesting, Maybe even have some kinda "Maximum Occupancy" sign Somewhere....

Well, the reason why the resting area is upstairs is because it was too crowded and it wasn't working out. So, I thought that maybe an upstairs would be better.
Hmm...so you mean to move the staircase out to the front? Hmm...*looks over floor plan* Maybe, I could make the phone booth a little smaller and put the stairs just behind the booths, also. Thanks! ^_^

Hmm...well, I know how the stairs we have in our building are. They wind a bit to conserve the amount of space they they take up length or width wise. Of course the height can't be helped But, they spin to make it easier to ascend...er...not spiral, mind you, but you take a few paces forward, then you're on the landing, then you make a 180 degree turn to continue upward to the next floor. ...a small spin
also i d like to get a drink there, but you already told me there are no bears around on those islands - also i guess even if i did, i d probably end up stuck in the corridor when attempting to go upstairs to take a nap - as it doesn t seem to be wide enough for people of my size ^^
This looks incredible, sweets ^_^ I think it's funny there are people who think this is based on a real shop ... kinda makes me wonder if they've even bothered to actually read anything you've posted previously xD I like the layout, but even for a fictional restaurant, I think there's a few too many tables/seats :3 And I also think it's funny how the phone booth is as big as the restroom *giggles*
But great job! I like it bunches!!!

*chuckles* Yeah, I'm surprised so many people think this is a real place-to-be...but, it's also very sweet
Yeah, I realize that that phone booth is ENORMOUS! I scaled it down a bit And yes, there are too many chairs! I just removed some of them, too. I'll repost the revised shoppe in a moment.

Ya, it is very sweet that they seem to be willing to stop in and see ya some time, and support your business if it was real :3 The furry community is very supportive, and yet we're heathens and evil monsters, rawr!
And, oooo! I look forward to seeing the revised version :D *dances*

The employee restroom is rather big or is the staff only one sex? Rather big for a unisex restroom methinks, and shouldn't the storage room open up into the kitchen area too instead of only the hallway? And I think one stair case would be sufficient ^^ Not sure if you wanted any opinions of the set up but I couldn't help but put my two cents in ^^" Looks good though, its a pretty large restaurant! I guess this is an upgrade from their original establishment or were they lucky enough to have a large new facility built?
Of course I wanted input! ^_^ That's what makes it better
Hmm...well, the restroom for the employees is rather large, but only because it offers a place to bathe as well and yes, it's unisex. In the event that a male employee is hired, he'd use the same bathroom, just when it's not occupied.
Someone made the same comment about the storage room and I adjusted it to add the entrance there as I thought it was a good idea, too.
There are more than one staircase because some lead downstairs
I made the improvements on the updated submission. I hope it's a little better

Good heavens you're thorough! Looks good to me. Lots of light too I suppose, as I presume there's windows along the front and left hand side?
The only thing I'd add would be more booths. I like to lurk (hiding in my booth, safe from outsiders) On the other hand, that would cut down on the number of windows so I guess I'd rather have more light than lurkness.

LOL! I'll make sure the girls just reserve a booth for you
Thanks! And yes, the windows are along the left and bottom sides. They're very large windows so there will be plenty of light
And hey, if you really want to lurk, you may like the upstairs a bit more

Nice floor plan!
