In Greek mythology, the Hydra of Lerna is a sort of water dragon with 7 heads (or according to others 5, 6, 8, 9 or even 100 or hundreds) born from the titan Typhon and the monstress Echidna. Terrorizing the Lerna region, every time its heads were cut, the double grew back ; born with one immortal head, all the other mortal ones through time. During his Twelve Labors, Heracles managed to slay the beast by cutting each of its heads while his nephew Iolaos cauterized the stumps with a sword and fire. Pure artistic freedom from me, in order to change a little from the lizard, I gave it deep sea fish looks
