We all have to grow up eventually...

A deep-rooted fear for Sugar is to 'grow-up' or evolve too soon. She already made that mistake before, which resulted in banishment from her clan. Reaching her final stage scares Sugar, as it gives her the sense her life is coming to a close and has nothing to show for it.
Being a feral variant of her species, Sugar will grow into a muscly, horned beast with poisonous tendrils. She'll be large and more intimidating than ever before. It promises to become a very lonely stage of her life, indeed.
