While the Phantom Thieves fought off the guards though, Aoto was ambushed separately, and hauled off underground. When the last Shadow was defeated, they realized this and panicked, heading off to figure out where he’d went. Locating a grate that lead underground, the Thieve were stunned to find that just beneath the sleek city was sterile, bleak prison that was punishing anyone who didn’t conform.
Navigating the prison’s halls, the Thieves eventually found themselves watching as Numata in the form of the warden patrolled the cells, walking past Aoto’s. Needless to say, the street artist snapped at Numata to get his attention, only to be met with a hand wave, ignoring him.
This pushed Aoto over the edge. Refusing to be ignored any longer, he could hear a voice talking to him:
Ah, so you finally decided to stop playing around. It’s time to start trying for real, to fight for the attention you rightfully deserve. This kid stuff is getting old, now is the time to let loose and make sure that he can’t ignore us any longer!
I am thou….Thou art I…
Now, let’s make a pact so we can stay one step ahead…
