There's a goat-lady? How did Goatella get trapped on an island with a sleeping Wind Fish?
Have you gotten the Yoshi Doll? When the game first came out, I had the issue of Nintendo Power that actually illustrated that plush and it looked so cute! I scanned it and shared it around during the late 90s. (So dating myself)
I wonder if Nishidor may just 'Planeswalk' into this little adventure? He did get himself involved in other adventures. I'm sure 'observing' Oxnard would be fun. They could trade Hook shots! :)

Yeah! In Animal Town there's a girl with a big bow on her head that complains that you don't know how to talk to a lady - and then she suggests bringing her flowers. The old sprite was very vague, the town has lots of bunnies that look similar, but she has little horns, and wears a pink dress with a bell around her neck. We can't see much of it since she's sitting down behind a desk, but it's hard not to think of Toriel with cute goats!
When I drew Oxnard dressed as Link for this, I tried adding hair and it reminded me of Nishidor, and then I tried drawing a version with Link that didn't look as good - there're definitely some cuties here! And at least one mom.

D'aww! That paints such a cute picture, Oxnard. I definitely could see Toriel doing something quite similar. I just always seem to go to Goatella first. *Kushi-Kushi*
It is fun to think on how much this game has changed over 25 years. I'm sure any of the original team involved loved to finally see their vision for this Zelda game loved to share precisely what they wanted to instead of very simplified sprites. I know that there was a Game Boy Color version that cleaned things up a bit. However it is very unlikely it did so to the degree seen in the version you are playing.
