You'd be surprised how many people I've met on unaffiliated sites who are huge fans of your youtube videos. I've even been mistaken for you on one occasion (still not sure how that happened).

I imagine it's a combination of shyness and possibly not knowing you're on sites other than youtube. One of the people I spoke to didn't even realize you were an artist.
I suspect it's mostly shyness though. People in this community - especially those who put themselves out there in some capacity - can be rather stand-offish for obvious reasons, and so I think some people are leery of approaching them, for fear of rejection or offending their senpai.
