The first thing about Bashinga J'Syvra is that she doesn't like you.

The second thing about her is that she never will.

She was originally born in Elsweyr, but tired of tribal living and moved across Tamriel from province to province until she found herself on the small island of Vvardenfell--a part of the province of Morrowind. There, she "met" the Aundae Clan, vampires of superior magical prowess, and was infected with their curse. She tried to live alongside them, but after the third or fourth time they called her an "expendable mistake" and "disgusting accident," she left their stronghold for good... and tipped a vampire hunter on their whereabouts after she hit civilization. Ah, the glory of anonymous notes.

In search of a place where she might "fit in," she found herself wrapped up in Telvanni affairs. While she is a rather high-ranking member and an obscenely powerful sorceress, she has relegated herself to a "leisurely" path, mostly to give her more time for magical study; she's currently the housekeeper for the Archmagister. Seeing as he's never in, that mostly means she just lounges around his tower and uses all of his supplies for her research. Occasionally, she'll receive a vision of something bad to come and venture out to tell him to watch his back, but mostly she just makes potions, enchants weapons, reads books, and invents spells.

She's a very... unlikable person. She knows few, likes fewer, and trusts even less. The only person she can safely call a "friend" is the Archmagister, and even that's pushing it; it's possible she doesn't like him more than she just likes his stuff. She's sarcastic, ego-maniacal, brutal, manipulative, cold, callous, and apathetic, and she's only looking out for one person: herself. As such, she won't raise a hand to defend somebody--even allies--unless she feels as though a stray arrow might hit her. Even then, she'd just be likely to burn the whole place down and take everyone out with it, just because it takes less effort than singling out the one guy who aimed at her.

No, she's not a nice person. And it's not likely she'll have an epiphany anytime soon.
