Another one for the quasi-canon post-story set. And just to provide notice, the scars would detract from the cuteness of the chibi-ish piece. It can also be argued that enough time has passed for those scars to fade.

Idena isn't happy about being given eggsitting duty.

Riley had to go scavenging for supplies and ammo, and the Pachirisu had to take Caitlyn with her. But the eggs can't be left unattended. Caitlyn's innate traits were more useful to the Pachirisu than Idena's more emotional thought processes.

There were things Idena would rather be doing, of course. Things like playing a game on the salvaged computer or taking a nap. The Meowtstic also felt kind of obligated to guard the makeshift nest. She may not have laid or sired these eggs, but she still felt instinctually protective of them in a way she couldn't quite explain.

This didn't stop her from being pouty about it. The only remotely interesting part of the job was seeing an egg twitch every so often.
