While I work on my current project, here is something completely unrelated. I drew these up a while back, but don't think I posted them here.
Anyway, standard issue of the Faction Guard.
Hopefully I can finish my current picture sometime today, because odds are once I get Mass Effect 2 tomorrow, it will consume my life for the next several days, and won't be working on anything else during that time.

I used to play an RPG back in houston, where i had my charcter design a special type of gun. it worked on the principle of hypersonic vibrations, i got the idea from the way i saw someone else fight.
this guy, had learned this ability, where he could control sound, specifically sound he emitted himself. to the point he could supercondense the sound and amp it to such a high frequency, that the sound could be physically seen, as a Bright red ribbon. and looked just like a normal ribbon. he Threw it at me, and i tried to move out of the way, it didnt even acually touch me, but as it passed beside me. the vibrations were so intense and the sound was at such a high frequency. it basically liquified my insides.
I designed a gun to do more or less the same thing, to shoot a hyper-condenced, ultra high frequency burst of sound. that basically caused anyone shot with it to have their body vibrate apart. The weaker more, fragile, organs inside would simply break apart from the vibrations. while the skin would start tearing itself apart.
it was kinda gruesom, but highly effective <_<

basically, the sound was at such a high frequency, that when it hit a person, the high frequency vibrations essencially would rip apart the softer bodyparts at the cellular level. essencially "shaking" them apart, piece by piece. So not really Liquifying, so much as disassembling at a cellular level. :P
and plus. For the record, the game works on a combination of future tech and magic. so if need be i can invoke "A techno wizard did it" :p
