On 28 september it will be 25 years since the passenger cruiser MS Estonia sank in the Baltic Sea between Estonia and Sweden, resulting in one of the most devastating sinkings in modern history. The rough sea the night it sank caused the bow visor to fail, allowing sea water to flood the car deck. The cruiser sank in less than 40 minutes, and of the 989 people on board, only 137 survived the chaos. 852 people perished.
I wanted to make something to commemorate the victims of the sinking, and this was the result. May they rest in peace.
