There's more, on Downsizing My Dragon Hoard....
I put way too much effort into making this for the fact that I only wore it once, at a steampunk convention, where, weirdly, I sold a lot of my crafts but none of my steampunk-themed stuff.
The parts I outright made:
- the corset (made of leather belts and red cloth, held together with Shoe Goo, laced with black cord)
- the necklace (made with assorted vintage watch pieces, beads, a little glass bottle, and lots of brass wire).
The parts that I sorta made:
- a satiny red skirt, with the hem scrunched up and sewn in place at intervals around it
- the hat, which I attached fabric flowers to
The parts that I didn't make at all:
- 2 lacy skirts, one black and one red, meant to be worn underneath the satiny red outer skirt
- blue ruffly blouse
- blue stockings with white lace at the top
This is the one costume that still pretty much fits me, so I'm gonna go by my measurements instead of clothing sizes, which vary so much by the manufacturer.
(The blouse and the red lacy skirt fit me well. The black skirt just barely fits me. The red satin skirt never really fit me, even when I first got it. It won't zip up in back, so I just leave it open, put the blouse over that part, and then the corset over the blouse.)
My current measurements (does this push the post into Mature territory?)
Shoulder (across the back from one shoulder to the other) 20"
Chest(above the bust at the armpits) 39"
Bust:(fullest part at the middle of bra-line) 40"
Under-bust (immediately beneath bust) 37"
Waist (just below ribcage: natural waistline) 38"
Hips (include the fullest part of backside): 46.5"
Upper arm (around the widest part of bicep) 14.5"
Height: 5' 6"
Bra cup size: C
If you're in that range, this costume should fit you about as well as it fits me!
Free or pay-what-you-want. As always, disputes to be settled by auction.
